Unlike the Clemson Tigers, the buffalo will not hang out for a quick meal. Instead, they will have dinner at the Capitol.

WASHINGTON:

The White House, as it did after Clemson won the National University Football Championship game, offered a fast-food feast to celebrity players, this time with Chick-fil-A food and Mcdonald's.

Trump told the State of North Dakota players that he could have asked the White House leader to prepare food for them, but instead opted for a thematic rehearsal of the menu he offered to Clemson during the partial closure of the government.

"I know you," laughs Trump, noting Clemson's precedent and adding, "We love American businesses."

Trump, according to a billiard report, introduced the players by the nickname "Team Bison" and joked that they told him, "Sir, be sure to say it with a Z." stopped briefly for a serious comment, mentioning the devastating tornadoes that hit Alabama and saying that he "sent our love and prayers to the incredible people of Alabama."

State of North Dakota quarterback Easton Stick joined his former teammates after joining the NFL scouting roster in Indianapolis. Trump saw something he liked from the perspective of the NFL, saying that Stick has "the look, too" and comparing it to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

"Someone would do better to recruit him," he said of Stick. "There is going to be a rich one."

The bison, who had lunch during a visit to the Capitol on Monday afternoon, were to bring a full contingent of players during their visit to Washington.

"We came up [politics]," coach Matt Entz told The Grand Forks Herald. "It's not a political trip, it's a Bison trip and I personally sold it as two things: it's another opportunity for the 2018 team to be together, but also in my mind the beginning of the 2019 season and the things we are going to do together. "

Entz was named coach of the team in December, moving from defensive coordinator when Chris Klieman was named head coach at Kansas State. The team was invited to Washington by North Dakota Senator John Hoeven (R). Klieman did not make the trip.

"We sold it as a unique opportunity in our lives," said Entz before the trip. "I want it to be as big as possible to be part of Bison Football."

"For me, personally, the # 1 thing is just the team being together," said Entz. "It's probably by watching our players as they experience something that some of them have probably never done before. It's seeing [running back] Ty Brooks come into the White House and just know that in 10 years old he will be able to tell his family, his friends, that yes, I went to the White House with my football team. "
