Putin Prisident of Russia gives his ice cream Xi on his 66th birthday

Chinese President Xi Jinping celebrated his 66th birthday on Saturday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, considered by Xi as a close friend and who offered Xi ice cream as a gift, reported the official Chinese media.

Discussions about the privacy of top officials are extremely rare in China, and the exact dates of birth of most of them are not publicly disclosed, as they are considered a state secret.

National television showed images of Xi and Putin holding champagne glasses in honor of Xi's birthday at the hotel where he resides in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, where they both attend a regional summit.

While Putin gave the Xi a Russian ice - cream-the flavor was not mentioned - Xi gave Putin Chinese tea, according to the report.

Xi thanked Putin and said that in China, Putin was extremely popular, he added.

Images on the website of the Chinese national television showed the two men inspecting a white cake decorated with red and blue flowers on which were written the words, in Chinese characters a little trembling of red color, "Good fortune double six".
