Elon Musk to launch a unit in China for a tunnel company this month

Elon Musk said on the social networking platform Twitter that he "will also launch The Boring Company China during this trip to Shanghai later this month.

Elon Musk will soon launch a unit in China for his underground tunnel company, The Boring Company, announced the billionaire entrepreneur on Twitter.

One of Musk's supporters tweeted that the president and CEO of Tesla Inc. participate in the 2019 World Conference on artificial intelligence in Shanghai later this month.

Musk replied on the social media platform that he "will also launch The Boring Company China on this trip".

Musk began The Boring Company to build underground transport tunnels for hyper-Loop transport systems, which would be much faster than current high-speed trains and use electromagnetic propulsion.
