"Ukraine Invasion Threat Real": US Sees No Meaningful Pullback By Russia

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Wednesday that the United States had seen no proof of a critical Russian withdrawal of its tactical powers from Ukraine's boundaries, notwithstanding Moscow's case.

"According to sadly there's a contrast between what Russia, and how it treats what we're seeing is no significant pullback," he said on ABC News.

"In actuality, we keep on seeing powers, particularly powers that would be in the vanguard of any restored hostility against Ukraine, proceeding to be at the line, to mass at the boundary."

Blinken referred to the danger of an intrusion as "genuine" and repeated Washington's call for Russia to de-raise what is happening.

"President Putin has set up the ability to follow up without prior warning," top US representative said.

"He can pull the trigger - - he could pull it today. He could pull it tomorrow. He could pull it one week from now. The powers are there to recharge animosity against Ukraine."
