Brit man, 74, fighting for life after being pulled from sea off coast of Majorca by lifeguards
BRIT is fighting for his life after having a hard time swimming off Mallorca.
The 74-year-old is in intensive care after lifeguards pulled him out of the sea on a beach in St Elm.
He was spotted struggling in the water by lifeguards and was unconscious when he was pulled ashore.
The off-duty health workers who happened to be on the beach at the time helped the man.
Fortunately, the pensioner regained consciousness and was taken by ambulance to the Maplanas Health Centre.

Local media did not confirm whether the man was living in Mallorca as an expatriate or was on vacation.
It comes just weeks after another Briton, 78, died after experiencing difficulty while swimming off Mallorca.
The accident occurred on Can Pere Anthony Beach, a mile east of the island's capital, Palma.
The beach where the accident occurred was crowded at the time, and police reportedly used sunbeds to cover his body so that he was not visible to local residents.
