Horrifying moment boy slips onto tracks and is dragged away under train – but cheats death with miracle escape

 

A boy miraculously cheated death after being run over by a train - but cut off his fingers.

Raju Kashyap skidded off the rails at a station in Uttar Pradesh, India, before a train plowed over him in front of terrified passengers.

He was getting off the train to buy water when he fell between the thin gap between the car and the platform.

The dramatic footage shows passengers screaming in fear as the train was repeatedly bound for Mumbai.

Raju can be seen frantically swaying and trying to squeeze himself into a small gap.

Luckily,

He appeared alive as anxious passengers jumped onto the rails to help him.

But his fingers were cut off as the train passed in the horrific accident on Wednesday.

He was taken to a health clinic before being taken to hospital.

Doctors have confirmed that Raju has lost two fingers on his left hand, the Times of India reports.

He also had to have stitches for a head injury

Inamullah Khan, head of the Janghai Junction, told local media: "Raju slipped off the platform while trying to board a moving train.

"His two fingers were crushed under the wheels of the train, while at least four stitches were made to stop the bleeding of his head."

It comes after a woman who crossed a railroad narrowly escaped death twice when she returned to pick up a water bottle after being rescued from a train.

NDTV reported that the accident occurred at Chicohabad station in the Indian province of Uttar Pradesh.

A quick-thinking station worker, named Ram Swaroop Meena in the local media, races to drag the woman dressed in yellow to the platform as the train approaches.
