I’m a street savvy senior executive but fell for Tinder Swindler who fleeced me of £56,000 on our first date
A woman has revealed her 'nightmare' ordeal after being cheated out of more than £50,000 on a first date with Tinder Swindler.
The unlucky spokeswoman has spoken out about the emotional, physical and mental torture she endured after she ended up on a date with notorious fraudster Christopher Collins.
Collins stole huge amounts of cash from women he tricked into dating apps over the years of the Crusade.
He will now spend 22 months in prison after pleading guilty Friday to 24 counts including financial deception, fraud and theft.
One of the women now targeted shared the horrific ordeal the Australian scammer went through
.
The woman said she met Collins for the first time -
Named CJ - after matching him on Tinder in January 2020.
The 33-year-old told her that he is a professional player, and after being associated with a love of sports, she invited him to watch cricket.
Little did she know, however, that the scammer was instead planning to add her to the long list of women he defrauded after being found on a dating app.
Collins persuaded the woman to put money on a "sure bet," and encouraged her to open new betting accounts online.
After moving their date to a local pub in Richmond, Australia,
Collins got her phone while she was going to the dance floor.
It took the fraudster less than 20 minutes to transfer more than £56,000 from her bank accounts and transfer the £42,000 to his betting accounts.
