What goes up must go down - and for these planes that means being left to rot in the sprawling "cemeteries" of a plane.

A spooky aircraft hangout has spread in Thailand as two private jets worth a total of £72m have been dumped - while dozens of abandoned military aircraft gather dust at a vast site in Arizona, USA.

A strange storage site in Southeast Asia, located on the eastern side of Bangkok, has turned into an unusual tourist attraction.

Hundreds of visitors are keen to pay £7 (300 baht) to see the plane, which is estimated to be worth around £36 million ($41 million) per plane.
Most of the aircraft's interior was removed while debris was scattered around the aircraft.
But even though it's no longer airworthy, investors have thought of an unusual way to repurpose it.

The two planes, which were operated by Orient Thai Airlines, were set to become outdoor bars.

However, the bold plans were abandoned after the businessman who was financing the project failed.

Photographer Dax Ward who previously visited the site discussed the ill-fated business deal - which resulted in the plane being left to rot.
He explained, "The planes were supposedly placed there a few years ago by a foreign investor who wanted to create a private outdoor bar using the fuselage as a stage for teams and service rooms for the bar crew.

The project was a complete fiasco and the foreign investor left the site as is.

"As far as I know, there are currently no plans to move them, although the land on which they rest is very expensive."

Since both aircraft's registration numbers have been drawn, it is difficult to decipher when the two aircraft were commissioned or retired.
He added, "It's very scary in the cemetery.
