Warmonger Vladimir Putin REJECTED Ukraine peace deal recommended by top aide and ordered his troops into country

Vladimir Putin defied the advice of one of his top aides to accept a peace deal offered by Ukraine and went ahead with his invasion, sources close to the leader have claimed.

The Russian tyrant rejected the agreement put forward by his chief envoy even though it was reportedly fulfilling his demand for Ukraine to stay out of NATO.

Three people close to the Russian leadership told Reuters that presidential aide Dmitry Kozak tried to reason with Putin that he believed he had made an interim agreement that would eliminate the need for a bloody war.

But Putin argued that Kosack's negotiating deal was not enough and that he expanded his goals -

Including the annexation of large tracts of Ukrainian territory, insiders claim.

Prior to the invasion, the Russian leader expressed his anger that NATO and its military infrastructure were creeping close to Russia's borders by accepting new members from Eastern Europe.

He said the coalition was preparing to bring Ukraine into its orbit and claimed it represented an "existential threat" to Russia, forcing him to respond.

Mikhailo Podolak, an adviser to the Ukrainian president, said that Russia used the negotiations as a smokescreen to prepare for its invasion.

"Today, we clearly understand that the Russian side has never been interested in reaching a peaceful settlement," he said.

Asked about the Reuters findings,

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "This has absolutely nothing to do with reality. Nothing like this ever happened.

It is completely incorrect information."

Kozak did not respond to requests for comment sent through the Kremlin.

It comes as Putin suffers humiliation in Ukraine as he suffers heavy losses amid a Ukrainian counter-attack.

President Zelensky vowed to continue the advance as his forces reached the edge of Russian-controlled Donbass in a stunning counterattack.

The Ukrainian army appears to have made impressive gains on its eastern and southern fronts,

Amid the rumors about the collapse of the Russian military resolve.

Two of the three sources said the effort to complete the agreement occurred immediately after Russia's invasion on February 24.

Within days, the sources said, Kozak believed he had secured Ukraine's approval of key terms Russia was seeking and recommended that Putin sign an agreement.

.

An insider said: “After February 24, Cusack got carte blanche: They gave him the go-ahead, and he got the deal.

"He brought it back and they told him to clear it. Everything was cancelled. Putin simply changed the plan while still working."
